Most of us have a great quantity of lipsticks. Some that we wear frequently, some were lying idle in the dresser. There's a reason for that. You may have fallen in love with a lipstick at the magazine or on celebrity’s face, but when you put it on yourself, it doesn't fit for your skin tone. Choosing the right lipstick could be really hard.
The color of our skin is complicated with a mixture of tones coming together to create our unique shade. Before choosing lipsticks, you have to know if the undertones in your skin are cool, warm, or neutral. These tones provide you some guides for how to match lipstick colors in makeup.
Take a quick test for your skin tone. Turn over your wrist. If the veins expose blue or purple, you have cool skin tones. Otherwise, veins are green, your skin tone is warm.
Warm skin tones typically have yellow or orange-red undertones. Cool skin tones tend to have pink or red undertones. Those with neutral skin tones look pretty and typically a wide range of colors tend to complement the skin. Normally, it’s free for all! Remember, try it on! Don't try it on your hands. Lipstick is going to look much different on your hand than on your lips.
Now that you know the right lipstick colors for your skin tone, figure out the right color for yourself!
